Yes - our home is going through some changes (finally)! Peyton has officially moved into the old "computer room" and it is now her "pink room". She only needs new blinds for the room and its finished. She is loving her new loft bed and real soon, I'll be putting some curtains around the bottom of it to make a tent for her to play under it where all of her toys are now nesting. This loft bed has created so much room for her to play!
I had a baby shower on Saturday and have put everything of the baby's into his closet and dresser drawers. Tonight, Andrew put the crib back together. All we have left to do in there is to paint over the sage green that's currently on the walls. Then, find curtains and voila!
Our tiny "formal living room" (if you can even call it that) is now where the desktop computer is housed - inside an armoire. I had to stain it first and also stain Peyton's new loft bed. Fun work...NOT! I made such a big deal of putting a big sheet under the armoire and Andrew even lifted it up for me to put it underneath it. After putting one coat of stain and one coat of clear coat, it was time to move it back against the wall. Lo and behold, the stain (Chestnut in color) had leaked through the sheet onto my light beige carpet. I swear, we can't get ahead!! Yes, we've been talking about ripping up the dirty, old carpet and putting down laminate, but we aren't in any position to do that right now. I sat on my hands and knees scrubbing it with a nail brush and Dawn dish liquid. Dawn was the only thing that got the stain off my skin. Of course, it didn't all come out, but it definitely lightened it up a bit.
Tonight, Andrew and our brother-in-law, Ryan, hauled our couch and loveseat out to the curb. Friday morning, we have 2 new couches delivered! We have had our furniture for over 9 years and have had pets the entire time. There have been many days when I knew I'd arrive home to find a mass of threads on the living room floor instead of our couch and loveseat. They have DEMOLISHED our furniture and this time we purchased a microfiber fabric because we have a recliner with the same fabric that they haven't clawed for some reason...we'll see what happens. We just might go "elderly" and cover the couches with sheets! We'll 'unveil' our couches when we have company!
Another future transformation in our house that resulted from my submission to Andrew is to finally get our A/C replaced. It has been a hunk of junk since the day we moved in - and it was BRAND new!! Anyone who knows me well, knows that I complain ALL SUMMER LONG about our A/C not being able to cool our house AND makes our bill so high. So, we are looking for any specials and would love input from any of you regarding your experiences with either Home Depot, Lowes, or Sears. They all have a great interest free financing plan (the only way we can do this much needed repair right now) and all come out to the house for a consultation to see what needs to be done. So, who do you recommend - from your own personal experience??

First of all, congratulations on all the renovations and additions to your place! Second, where are the pictures, Meredith? ;-)))
Third, we had our AC fixed right after we moved in, we called the number on the unit. The guy did a job for around $400. He didn't have to replace anything, just weld a pipe outside. Otherwise it would've cost a lot more. It works now and cools enough.
